What do we offer?

Language training

Just moved here and not familiar with the Dutch/Flemish language? Or do you need to go to the French speaking part and want to make sure you understand what they are saying?
We organize language trainings in Dutch (NT2), French, English and Spanish for different levels. All of our courses are tailored to the needs and adapted to the level of the trainee.
Translation

At MaatAdvies, we can translate and proofread general documents (such as brochures, newsletters, advertisements, websites…) that do not need to be sworn.
We are able to translate in various combinations from/between Dutch, French, Spanish and English.
When doing so, a native speaker always proofreads all texts.
Interpreting

An interpreter is a person who listens to a speaker and verbally translates the words for listeners who do not understand the original language.
An interpreter in the business world? Of course! Just think of business meetings, training and education, factory visits, product introductions and business negotiations with customers, employees or other business relations.
At MaatAdvies, we can offer different options.
Tutoring

For some kids, things go too fast in high school or they got easily distracted and they got lost in all the information.
When your child can use some extra support while studying, but you lack the time or knowledge to do so, maybe at MaatAdvies, we can help.

Our team

BIRGIT ROOSEN

Birgit Roosen graduated as a Translator-Interpreter Dutch-French-Spanish and obtained a master’s degree in Multilingual Communication in Dutch-French-Spanish. Besides her studies, she learned English and German and in her spare time, she completed a language training in Polish.
Her passion for foreign languages and her commercial and perfectionist drive created the basics of her own MaatAdvies.
PETER STEEGMANS

Peter obtained a master’s degree in Chemistry and has since worked as a physics and chemistry teacher just across the border, in the Netherlands. His interests in technology makes him the first to know about all the latest innovations.
As Birgit’s husband, he supports her and MaatAdvies and together, they make a strong team.
